Pest Control Technician
As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting clients’ properties, identifying pest problems, and applying appropriate treatments to ensure their homes and businesses remain pest-free. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering superior customer service.
- Conduct thorough inspections of clients’ properties to identify and assess pest issues and determine appropriate treatment methods.
- Apply targeted pest control treatments using various methods, such as spraying, baiting, and trapping, while adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and customer interactions in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, addressing their concerns and questions, and providing expert advice on pest prevention and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and best practices to ensure the most effective pest control solutions are provided to clients.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment in clean, safe, and proper working condition.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and overall company success.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pest control industry experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
- Possession of a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- State pest control license or the ability to obtain one within a specified time frame.
- Basic knowledge of pest biology, identification, and treatment methods, or ability to learn within a specified time frame.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings (rarely) as needed.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
